Innovative software and platform engineer with extensive experience delivering solutions in both small-scale projects and enterprise-level environments.
About Me
I am a Principal DevSecOps Engineer at Northrop Grumman with a background in software engineering. I work with Kubernetes, Docker, GitOps, and cloud platforms to build scalable and secure solutions.
I earned my Master’s in Data Analytics – Data Engineering from Western Governors University and my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Florida.
I am passionate about automating complex workflows and enjoy contributing to open-source projects.
Work Experience
Principal DevSecOps Engineer
Northrop Grumman
03/2024 – presentIn my current role, I automated the deployment of BigBang across three Kubernetes clusters using GitOps, supporting thousands of users. I built Python applications for performance monitoring and developed custom Prometheus exporters alongside a FastAPI/React service to filter critical GitLab metrics. I also engineered a Go application that securely injects secrets into virtual machines with Vault AppRole and streamlined secret management by migrating KeePass secrets to HashiCorp Vault. My efforts boosted GitLab Pipeline efficiency by 40% and reduced CoreDNS response times by 30%, ensuring high availability through the migration of legacy databases to Kubernetes.
Software Engineer
Northrop Grumman
01/2023 – 03/2024At Northrop Grumman, I transitioned C++ test drivers to Python, which simplified our testing processes and improved efficiency. I established containerization pipelines with Jenkins for mission-critical nightly builds and mentored team members on Docker best practices. I also developed a real-time weapons release tool for state signaling over a messaging bus and converted MATLAB code to C++ using a wrapper to enable seamless bus communication.
Backend JavaScript Developer
Kodai Labs
06/2021 – 08/2022While at Kodai Labs, I built integrations with REST APIs using Python and Node.js to gather and analyze data. I employed Docker to ensure consistent deployments and developed user-friendly interfaces with Electron and AngularJS, significantly improving usability and user experience.
Software Engineering Intern
Infotech Inc
05/2020 – 12/2020During my internship, I developed a user-facing checkout service for ITI products using a Rails API and Vue.js. I handled deployments with GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFront, and S3, and integrated components like ELB, Fargate, and RDS. I also integrated Stripe for payment processing, coordinated with a central authentication service, and managed a Postgres setup with comprehensive unit and integration testing using Jest and Rails.
Intro to Software Engineering Teaching Assistant
University of Florida
01/2020 – 05/2020As a teaching assistant, I guided students through the fundamentals of the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). I also developed a showcase website that allowed students to present their work to potential clients, helping them gain practical experience and build their portfolios.
Lead Developer
Virtual Studio
06/2019 – 12/2019At Virtual Studio, I developed a React.js website that strengthened the company’s online presence. I configured nginx for efficient site delivery and integrated a secure email form with reCaptcha v3 to enhance user security.
Phaseos Development
Software Engineering Consultant
03/2015 – 10/2017In my role as a consultant, I delivered Java applications for a variety of clients, optimizing their workflows and operations. I focused on building customized solutions that addressed each client's unique challenges and improved overall efficiency.

Projects
Subscription — Client-facing application
I developed a SaaS solution for Infotech from the ground up, leveraging containerization and RDS to create a scalable platform. This application enables customers to purchase supplemental licenses, process renewals, and request refunds using credit cards, purchase orders, and bank transfers.
Lounge Lizard — Undergraduate Research
I contributed to an open-source chat client designed to centralize multiple chat services into a single, cohesive interface. This project aimed to simplify communication and collaboration by unifying users' favorite messaging platforms.
Aqualogic HASS — Open-source project
I collaborated on an integration for HomeAssistant that wirelessly interacts with Aqualogic control panels used in pool systems. My work involved reverse-engineering RS-485 byte data and simulating button presses by sending messages over the communication bus.
5kws — Freelance commission
I co-authored a custom Minecraft client forked from Baritone that implements a Redis pub-sub communication channel. This solution enables synchronous control over multiple clients, allowing them to act in unison during gameplay.
Kingdom Crashers — Freelance commission
I created a unique MOBA experience within Minecraft by integrating MongoDB, BungeeCord, and the Spigot API. This project blends real-time data management with engaging gameplay mechanics to deliver an immersive multiplayer experience.
